Starting with the highest quality materials, like organic cotton that is dyed with low-impact dyes. Certified organic cotton is grown on farms in the Southern\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"capitalize\"\u003eU.S.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eby farmers they actually know. After harvest, the cotton travels to the Carolinas where it is spun and dyed before arriving at Zkano's mill in Alabama.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eZkano knits socks in very small batches at their family owned and operated mill. Their team of ten (including Mom and Dad) run the manufacturing process from start to finish. And, because the entire operation is under one roof, they're able to constantly monitor quality through each step of the process, minimize waste and deliver a stellar product. Zkano's irregular socks are donated to homelessness shelters and community organizations in Alabama.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSome socks are not fit for donations. These, along with any manufacturing waste, are repurposed or recycled.
